Prague, Czech Republic is better than i had imagined. There's 12 of us, we took plane from Birmingham International Airport to Prague, personally i didnt enjoy my first plane ride with RyanAir - i had the roller coaster butterflies few minutes before the plane took off but i managed to shake it off after it stabilised at some point. Plane takes off moment always gives me the creep :s Alhamdulillah everything went on smoothly from the moment we depart till the day we went back home. From 29th March, our 3-nights stay at Prague experiences are very memorable indeed. The place, especially the town itself is very historically beautiful, everything, everywhere is very Kodak moment.
maybe its the holiday spirit, everything felt so care-free while i was in Prague despite the exhaustion from all the walks discovering the place. Upon arriving, i hadnt felt the holiday spirit yet and Prague was not that very appealing but as our taxi rides reached the city area, the excitement slowly sunk in. When we reached our apartment, we were speechless because it was too good to be true. For about less than 25pounds per person for 3 nights, we had the awesome apartment for ourselves equipped with simply everything: big kitchen, big toilet, big rooms, big living room, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine. The place is completely homey as if we were gonna stay for a long time. We rented three rooms: the guys stayed at the first floor, while the girls at the ground floor. So if you guys searching for the best place to stay in Prague, just search for emma apartment, gerenti inda nyasal.
It was raining when we arrive at Prague Airport, after we unpacked our stuffs we went out to get some foods. The Czech language was very hard to learn and the train and metro lines were complicated to read at first. Thanks to Vaclava (aka Malcolm - our apartment chaffeur) generous tips, we learnt how to use the metro lines wisely. It only cost us 18czk to buy the tram tickets and we only need to buy it once. Basically, the transport cost around Prague is free. The currency is a bit confusing at first with the exchange rate of 1pounds=28czk, but apparently the price of goods are quite cheap. When we first found Tesco, it was difficult to browse around because of the Czech price tag and label but it was way cheaper than in the UK.
Our first night, as we went hunting for foods we were lost and failed to go anywhere. But we managed to learn that our apartment is blessed with nearby convenience shops and very close to metro lines stop. We finally went to Pizzeria place to buy pizzas for our dinner. First night in Prague, we learnt to read Prague maps and metrolines to plan our next day visit.
First day: We covered almost everything within the old town area of Prague. From Charles Bridge to the Dancing House, everything looks so pretty and wonderful. I love the Easter Market they have at the Old Town Square, you can find everything you need about Prague there. And arah market ani ada one stall sells the best waffles ive ever taste, for 3 days i was in Prague, everyday i kept on coming to the same stall to get the waffles. We also managed to find Halal place to eat.

Second day: We went to the other side of Prague crossing the bridge: Prague Castle. It's not as enjoyable as our first day, the Prague castle is undergoing some construction and the few visits around the area is not that rewarding. Making things worse, the funicular railway connecting to the top of the observation tower at Petrin Hill was closed till sometime in April. We were so looking forward to go to the tower to view the Prague skyline :( After our lunch, we planned to go to the Royal Garden but it was closed as well till spring time. To ease our disappointment, we went to the Old Town Square again to shop for souvenirs before we headed back to the apartment.

Third day: since our plane back was at 4pm, we had to be at the Prague airport by 2pm. Waiting for 2pm, we took our last tram ride to the Charles Bridge and Old Town Square to spent our few remaining Koruna money buying last minute souvenirs and took a last glance at Prague Town. In just 2 days, Im already in love with Prague, its sad to say goodbye to a nice holiday.
the uno nights, the -ski words in every sentences, the pashmina craze, the waffles, the company, everything about Prague =)
the rest of the pictures and videos are on my facebook.
im quoting Nyls. thats the name of our band -- me, nyls and abu. hard mode only. ceh. brigali hahahaaa.
maritah becerita.
after badminton, footie and few rounds of rock band me and nyls went to the city with hanis to meet up with abu and kimin. 3pm and it was sleeting. although we are aware of the fact that the city is dead after 5pm on sunday we went out anyway. melayan boring. after a few shop hopping we decided to eat out tapi all the shops were starting to close which was ruining our mood. even c kimin mengusut (which was really rare, hahahaaa he was quiet except asking for food) kan chillax di starbucks tutup. kan makan di yum yum tutup awal tia jua. last last we went to subway. it was snowing and kash with frens have already joined us by then. ksian durang menarik beg ikut kami food hunting. then after about 25mins kami hang out di subway, kan tutup tia jua. so we had nowhere else to go lagi other than going home. its sad wah -- we're going to the city to buang boring kan chill di cafe but we ended up going home feeling more dull. back home, we continued our rock band round. radh and hanis came to try hysteria on expert.
bored wah kami, inda puas window shopping kali. hahahaa. one time i stop singing and blurted, "kan makan maggi ku eh". i ended up cooking magi kari plus talur for four (me, nyls, radh and abu). best yo makan magi kari panas2 masa winter ani. i kept on asking abu about the time and everytime he replied it seems like the time is going on a slow motion. by 11pm, everyone abis bateri udah. its not a lazy sunday but definitely a slow one. another weekend's over.
last night i watched Underworld: Rise of the Lycans with few Bibers. i loooooooooove it. i knew the third movie gonna be good because the first two movies are. something is bugging me as soon as the movie ends -- i was thinking really hard to connect the three stories together and i did make mistakes telling others about the previous movies -- my bad. all in all, good movie excites me :)
i have overdue pictures i wanted to post in my blog:
taken from uncle rajul photo
BiB Intra-Society Women's Double: me and Fadz won bronze medal (easy mcm kacang~. for obvious reason. lols)one of my latest addition
what else is happening since my last post? the snow is still here.my badminton coach tukar udah. this time, better than the previous one. he used to play with england team before and i like the way he teaches. im hoping i'll get better (it seems like i dont :s). on a different day, my step class mcm makin confusing with all the steps yg bepusing2 bagi paning but it's all good. last week, i was all sweaty i took a risk to have a quick shower at the sports centre (open yo. nasib kosong nada org masatu. hahahaaa) . talking about sports, i miss playing netball.
our groceries got delivered today. aint it wonderful... straight to our door :) although i dont think my juices gonna last longer than a week (and i bought 4 cartoons!)
its a busy days ahead. have a good week people.
I had the most awesome yet tiring weekend.
It started off with Friday. I was working in the lab the whole afternoon. Who knows, identifying different species of river bugs can be so exhausting. Mlmnya, we had ice breaking session where i get to meet newcomers and mingle around. The foods were great as usual and we met two cute little girls, the daughter of a postgrad here. Child-deprived banar kami atu, abis the girls kami surrounded. We played get-to-know game and continuing their legendary tradition, the 688 guys introduced their new bagi-mental game again but i managed to crack it after few patterns.
Saturday follows with 2hrs badminton game at 10am. We watched the BiB guys played football against indonesians after that. Then, Naili and me went to the city with Rad and Hanis for a shopping spree. We were so hungry by the time we went to the first shop so we ate at Yum Yum Chicken. This new food chain at Martineau Place, good menus, reasonable price and great seating place. After we're done we went back to Pallasades, me and Naili went to Home2Home while the other two went to Evolution to buy Fatin's gifts. By the time we finished, both our hands were full with shopping bags. We went to Tesco waiting for the other two to finish their shopping. Something happened while we're waiting outside Tesco, just imagine us two with lots of shopping bags and this crazy guy kept on looking and talking to us sometimes to himself. Luckily, Abu and Azrul were there so i managed to seek their help, jadi bodyguard. hehe. Then we girls balik pakai taxi. On the same night, me and Naili went to Dawlish Road to help the girls preparing for their open house.
Then came Sunday,i woke up way too early than usual cos i was confused of the time. It's the end of summertime and now the clock goes back one hr. The reason for the waking up early was to help the Dawlish girls preparing the foods. We finished at almost 2pm just when the guest started to come. It was a great open house, kudos to Hazimah Hanis, i can see she's really putting her effort into it. And to her housemates as well for being a great hostess. For the end of the night story, let's just say that i almost wet my pants because i was laughing so hard. Happy belated birthday to Fatin, seriously sumo melayu in action is the best birthday gift ever!
Overall, a very exhausting awesome weekend. I havent fully rest from it. I had class trip today to Winterbourne Garden. I havent really get enough sleep so i was kinda off while on the site. It was hailing lagi tu, so after surveying the woodlands for one hr and a half, i went back home.
Im tired but i cant seem to rest.

back from London. what did i get? a sunburn and an empty wallet. i almost killed my feet due to the continuous walking around London. A refreshing getaway, i finally went on the river cruise along the River Thames. The shopping part was therapeutic especially with the summer sale extravagant at every corner of the street.
My London snow globe :)
and this Skechers Cali Sandals are super comfy! they saved the day when we almost died from feet exhaustion. tarus pakai on the spot eh. I was torn between these two but then i bought the butterfly ones and Isabelle bought the other one. So me and her are Skechers Cali sister. hehe. Its super uber freaking comfy man.
So im back in Birm.
mum gave me her greenlight. of all people, she's the one hard to get approval from. mom's instinct i suppose. the bro sent me concerned emails -- bonding moment. hehe.
im happy. it's not about you anymore. it's just me :)))))))
Me, Nuar and Kenny went to Glasgow Science Centre today. Public transport were against us today. Tube railway were closed due to electrical network problem so we had to resort to bus. The nice friendly driver showed us directly to the science centre. The Glasgow Science is a three-floor building with round structure view from outside consists of IMAX theatre, Planetarium, Science Exhibitions and Shows and Glasgow Tower. I feel like a primary school child again on a school trip to science expo just discovering science. The centre entrance fee is £5.95 but we paid extra £2 to go up the Glasgow Tower, the tallest tower in the world (according to Guinness World Records) that capable of rotating itself 360 degrees from its base to the top. We spent 20mins at the top viewing Glasgow's skyline, we thought the tower gonna rotate but actually it does not rotate all the time, only that it capable to rotate if there's strong winds. Salah interpret kami atu. The night stars show inside the planetarium was amazing as well, i used to had glow-in-the-dark stars stickers on the ceiling of my room. It's the same concept but the planetarium show is more astonishing! After we finished exploring the centre up till its 3rd floor, we decided to leave. When the bus arrived surprisingly dgn selambanya bus driver atu melintas laju arah bus stop dapan kami meninggalkan muka kami yg bangang. Jadinya inda ia branti???? Lesson learned: next time reached out your hand as far as possible to stop the bus, jgn ingat bus atu stop walaupun arah bus stop. hahaha cali. Salah kami jua luan confident bus atu stop dpn kami. So we waited for another one which was 25mins later, hopped in it turns out the bus was heading the opposite direction so we hopped out and took another bus. Went to Braehead - shopping plus entertainment extreme games centre, browsing around for an hour and a half then we took another bus to another place for Nandos dinner. After dinner, waited for a bus to head home but it happened again. This time, Kenny already reached out his hand tapi dgn lajunya bus atu inda stop dpn kami. hancus! hahaha, so lesson learned again, kalau kan stop bus atu, tantang driver atu dari jauh and tangan yang mendepa atu jgn alang2 biar sampai teblock jua jalan jadinya. C Kenny atu jua nada usul kan menstop bus. Ah well, thats our highlight of the day beside the Glasgow Tower :)
Today's story finished. Yesterday Me and Nuar went to Edinburgh: to Edinburgh Dungeon (its not really up to expectations but still i dont want to go alone if i were given a choice, hehe. This scary bloody cannibal ghost girl were staring and standing close to me while i was paying at the counter. I know its just a makeup but it's still scary), Edinburgh Castle (the overlooking view from the castle tower is spectacular and i could actually sensed the royal medieval times as we explored every corners of the castle) and finally sightseeing the Edinburgh City. The city looks ancient and full of historical structures. And it's hilly! ngalih bejalan~ I'd say Edinburgh city is more preferable for tourist destination than Glasgow as the city of Glasgow has nothing much to see. Extra info: The money they're using here is scottish notes but it has the same value as england notes, different prints saja, value masih sama. Oh oh i bought Edinburgh snow globe <3 hehehehee. Lawaness :)
Thats about it. My days in Glasgow. Thanks Nuar for everything. and Kenny for the movies (and the gifts!).

Paris is awesome! :D
Depart day 22/03: from Birmingham we took train to London. bought 4pounds single tube ticket (gilaaaaa mahal!) to go from Marylebone to St Pancras station where we took Eurostar train to Paris. 2 hours journey on which i slept most of the time. The night we arrived in Paris, we lost our way to the Etap Hotel. Tired from the journey, the rainy night made things worse but the excitement of stepping foot in Paris overcome all. We walked and walked searching the hotel using the map we got from Google Maps but we failed. Note: do not trust google map 100%. Finally, we gave up and took taxi to the hotel. Checked in - showered - ate - slept.
1st day: Woke up early pkl 6 pagi pasal excited kali kan ke Disneyland. Jln pkl 9 pakai tube double decker ke Disneyland (which is very far from our place, Disneyland is in zone 6 so tube ticketnya 12 euro return) . Paid 47 euro to go in the Disneyland Park (kalau bali online murah lagi rupanya by 10 euro - access to Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios lagi tu...aish mistake!). IT'S A DREAM COME TRUE! My childhood dream come true :) Saw some of Disney characters unfortunately i didnt meet any of the Disney princesses :( Got on Space Mountain ride, it was fast and stomach-sickening swirling ride. Spent the whole day in the magical kingdom, it's pretty much indescribable :) On the evening, we bought takeaway dinner from one of halal fast foods.
2nd day: Bought 3-day Metro ticket which costs 19 euro. Went to Eiffel Tower, left some of our groupies at the train station pasal pintu train awal tutup. Sori guys. We chose to take stairs up to the second floor (which is more like 10th floor!) then naik cable car up to the top (it's cheaper by 5 euro if we take the cable car from the ground). So we climbed 700 stairs to the second floor and took cable car upwards. The view is breathtaking! I think i didnt get to enjoy the view as i was too busy snapping pictures. After Eiffel Tower, we went to Trocadero as from there it gives the whole view of Eiffel Tower and took more pictures. We also visited Arc de Triomphe and Musee de Louvre. Heading back to the hotel, we met French Muslim man whom kindly directed us to the 'arab street' where there are large numbers of halal restaurant and shops available. After the meals, we headed back to the hotel.
the view from the top of Eiffel Tower

3rd day: Went to Stade de France, it was a day before France vs England tournament so the stadium was closed for some renovations. Then, we visited more tourist attractions in Paris (La Defense, Grand Palais, Notre Dame). We stopped by souvenier shops along St Michel street where i got my Paris snow globe <33333. Went back to the hotel with Hanif,Shuhir and Diyana while the others headed to different directions earlier. At 7pm, we went out again to Trocadero to watch Eiffel Tower Light show (every 1 hr). It's beautiful :) Back to the tube station we stumbled upon this chinese hand drawing artist who painted letters in beautiful arts. We paid 5 euro to get our name done.

4th day: Packed our luggages. Checked out at 12pm, we left our luggages in the storage room and went out to visit more places and finish our souvenier hunting before our train departs at 9pm. Went back to St Michel street to buy souveniers, walked more behind the street to discover more shops inside and halal restaurants everywhere. Stopped by Crepes shop, i ate nutella banana crepes which is heavenly nyaman! After lunch, we went to the fountain nearby before headed to Moulin Rouge then to Sacre Coeur. By 5pm, we went back to the hotel to get our luggages then went to Gare du Nord to take train back to UK. By 11pm we safely reached London and spent the night at Doni's aunt place. Met Tony and Doni (they're in London bcos they got free tickets from our landlord to watch Brazil vs Sweden that night at Arsenal stadium, lucky!!!). We had nasi katok for late night dinner :)

27/03: kami terlampau enjoy tinggal arah auntie c doni we decided to take train back to Birmingham at 8pm. hehe. Thanks for the hospitality :) I spent the whole day sitting on a sofa doing nothing while some of us went out walking around London streets. By 10pm, we reached Birmingham and im back to my room <3333333
Overall minus the confused raining season, Paris was fun! but off course it's because of the great company i had. Diyana and Shuhir, aku cinta kamu abis abisan! to the rest of my travelling BiBers i really had a great time with you guys. Thank you berabis!
